Morten Vilhelm (b. 1981) is a Danish cinematographer, working in the area of fiction, documentary and commercial. Studied Film and Media at the University of Copenhagen and graduated in Czech Republic with a Master’s degree in Cinematography from the Film and TV School of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU) in 2017.
Throughout his studies Morten has atteneded several master classes with notable filmmakers, such as Claire Denis, Michael Haneke, Christopher Doyle and Hou Hsiao-hsien. At FAMU his mentors were Klaus Fuxjäger who has worked as camera operator on Hollywood blockbusters such as Van Helsing, A Knight’s Tale, The League of extraordinary Gentlemen; and Vladimír Smutný, an eight-time winner of the Czech Lion Award for Best Cinematography.
